New Labour shutting down our Post Offices now
That ******* 'Darling' is about to kill off 3000 of our post offices.
Another key part of English life is about to be destroyed by the New Labour socialists. Their steady destruction of our country and society is completely unforgivable. F*ckers.

All part of the secret agenda as we well know UB. Not only do they want to destroy normal family life, but the good society that we have enjoyed for so many years in the past.

Good, I feckin hate the places.
Only time I ever go in there is to renew my car tax (which I shall hopefully now be able to do on-line). Two counters open and twenty odd pikeys, old biddys, etc. queuing up for there pension, TV licence stamps, saving stamps etc. Half hour of my life wasted only to get the front of the queue to be greeted by the miserable old bat behind the counter, no apology for the delay, and then making it seem like I'm putting them out by renewing my tax.
It should be run like a proper business and not some archaic government controlled institution. Should not have to wait that long, if it was the supermarket they would open more tills and I'd get an apology.
Sooner we can start easily using private services for mail/parcels/etc. (i.e. go into the Fed-Ex shop instead of the PO) the better.

Well, they're only used by old folks anyway, so what's the worry, unless you're old, in which case get off scobynet now (PS Lewis take note!). Even these old'uns can use their 25p per week pension increase to by a new laptop and get online for pension etc, etc.
What a load of crap, how are people who need these post offices going to cope. New Labour, new bo**ocks if you ask me.

Where'd you get the extra £25 figure from Pete?
News this morning said that PO was losing £4million a year, and that's FAR less than £25 per UK taxed car.
Oh sorry, bit like the Road Charging Scheme, that's going to make £28billion a year, of which a TINY percentage will be (maybe) spent on education over the next 15 years
Meanwhile, the rest will go on...............?

It's quality management, or at least quality announcements... They say the losses are unsustainable so theyre going to close 3000 of the beauts,
What they should be saying is "Its haemorraging lots of money and because we are incredibly incompetent and cannot think of a way to blag this one like we blag so many other stats (or even come up with revised strategies that will be cost productive and stop the closures), we'll just close 'em"...
Once the 3000 have gone, these Labour numpties claim there will be a post office within 3 miles of 99% of the population It simply cannot be, think about your sub post offices and their locations.. Certainly in the land of the gods (St Helens) it will make a mockery of this stat...
It isnt Post Offices that Labour should be shutting, its their Own Orrifices...

If they are you're sadly one of a diminishing minority.
And something tells me that if they were kept open, you'd be the one raising a thread about how the government is wasting £4million a week of tax payers money on something no longer relevant
Post offices are just like the corner shop vs tesco debate. Everyone "supports" the corner shop apart from by actually going in there and buying something.

Used to illustrate the point that you all moan and blubber but are NOT prepared to do anything about it ... even if that is as easy as paying extra to keep the Post Offices!

Does it really matter, when was the last time you went in a post office FFS. Get on with having a life its a commercial decision, if theyre not productive/efficient/useful then get rid of em - no need to cry

As it happens I make use of my local post office. Every time I visit it a line of people are waiting to make use of the facilities. They're not a 'diminishing minority' as you rather insultingly put it (in a typical urban new labour way) but ordinary tax paying citizens.
The obvious agenda here (as always) is the city dwelling urban socialists trying to punish the rural population - whom they despise, verging on hatred - with legislation designed to wipe their lifestyle out.
Strange then that they can readily and always magic up far larger sums of taxpayers' money to prop up their various pet projects such as illegal war mongering in the middle east and 'multi cultural' special needs minorities while neglecting the needs of its own people.
