Iran & it's Holocaust Denial
The Iranian Government is currently holding a conference on whether the holocaust took place or not.
They have invited well known holocaust deniers from around the world, including David Duke of the Klu Klux Klan.
The Iranian Foreign Minister M Mottaki claimed that they were merely "allowing people to express their views freely".
FFS !! they're nothing more than modern ***** !!

I'm kind of lost here? In a country where we encourage free speech we cannot denounce them for discussing the merits of whether something took place or didnt, whatever the subject.
They are only doing to provoke a reaction in the Israeli and western world and we should sit back and let them discuss it. If what they are saying is incorrect there will be no facts upon which to base their arguements and they will just look a bit silly.
Taking it as the insult they intend it to be is simply falling into their arms...
I say let them debate it, and let us draw cartoons of Mohammed. Their protests at some dutch artists behaviour then becomes petulent and backwards compared to our response to their pathetic attempt at retaliation.

Hmmmmm, Holocaust? Well, anyone but a fool knows that it took place, no matter what you call it.
What I've never understood though, is the CONSTANT reference to Jews. OK, 6 million died
, but around 20 million others were killed too, including Poles, Romanies, Slavs, Russians and prisoners of war, Eastern Christains, Africans, etc etc.
Yet ask anyone, or listen to anyone, and it's ALWAYS the 6 million Jews that get mentioned.
Why IS that?

tell that to my grandfather who was in the nearby pow camp who is still haunted by his memories, he can't watch alot of war films because of his experiances.
bunch of racist ***** who need to receive a damn good kicing before being castrated with a spoon to prevent there numbers from growing.

My father was also in a POW camp close to Auschwitz and they could smell when there was an execution and burning going on. He would not talk abouit it either.

I think is is mentioned so much because it was a deliberate policy to destroy the whole of the Jewish people as part of their ideas on ethnic cleansing. And as you say we should not forget the other minorities which were also murdered.

he's only realy started talking about it since my gran died, some very very horifying stories of how the prisoners and pow's were treated.

Question guys.
Have the Iranians openly said that they are out to get the Jewish people or have they got an issue with Israel as a country (nuclear weapons, ruthless millitary actions, palestine state, etc, etc).
The two are not the same....
If it the former then they are a complete bunch of idiots.

quite right. freedom of speech is a two-way street, if you can call iran a free state, which you can't. it's been obvious for some time that ahmadinejad is off his gourd anyway and this is just a PR stunt.
all the more reason for keeping his grubby little mad hands off nuclear technology.
