Millions in Compensation for Soldiers
Military personnel injured in Iraq, Afghanistan and N. Ireland are going to get millions in compensation for their injuries.

I don't suppose Tony and Gordon were counting on this, when they embarked on their adventure with George Bush!
It's a fantastic result for those involved.

Think they deserve every penny considering the job they are expected to do and the poor equipment they are issued! Although I think most people would rather have not been injured / decapitated and not have the money!
This compensation will be a tiny, tiny sum compared to the cost of these operations as a whole.
Good for them!

what the papers say, and what they get are two different things......
Clarkson was pretty damming yesterday too.
expect red tape, burocracy (sp) and local councils to wipe out any awards given

I sincerely hope that it is not yet another vote catching initiative as we have seen in the past.
The last one about the servicemen getting tax bonuses and being excused council tax turned out to be for single person relief only and then only if the tour of duty was more than 6 months.
They never tell us the full story of course.
