Default Kit car help...

I have a J reg Honda VFR750 sat in garage doing nothing (due to replacment bike).
Dous anybony know of any kit car manufacturers that make use of this engine.

I would like to build somthing along the Westfield lines if that helps.

Any input much appreciated

You could put that engine into any decent 7 type kit with a bit of knowledge and creativity

I dont know of any kit that specifically uses the VFR750, but as MAC76 says, you could put it into anything lightweight. What sort of power output does it give? Maybe best suited to a Kart! mmm....I love bike engined cars.

Its not that hard to do.... as long as you have a basic knowledge of engines and a bit of knowlege on how to put things together.

There are books you can buy that will help you build a kit from scratch.... you will also find half or part built kits on ebay... most of them will accomodate your engine.

What out for the SVA test tho.... everything and i mean everything needs to be right... took me 3 goes last time to get my one through.

If you are going to do that, I don't think the VFR engine is really going to suit it, a J reg one will be 100 bhp and arent they more of a cruiser ?

I suppose if its doing nothing it might be a good project, just doent sound like it will be aggressive enough, the VFR's were all about smooth V4 power, I would fettle and sell the bik and then buy a wrecked Blade, R1 or similar.

Don't wan't to put the mockers on it as I am sure it will be fine, just wouldn't wan't to put all that effort in to be underwhelmed.
