The driver from Tesco has phoned this evening to say his van has broken down and there aren't any spare ones so i'm not going to get my shopping tonight. I'm told the store will contact me tomorrow to arrange another time to drop the shopping off.
Is there going to be any point in asking for a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience i've been put to for having to wait in for 2 evenings for the shopping?

Try e-mailing them and getting any sense out of them!
I'm not sure but I am CONVINCED that their Customer Service Department is overseas?? The grasp of English is very poor!

I had a similar call a few months ago.
It was from the removals company that was due to be doing our house move from Reading to Nottingham the next day.
At least you can go to the chip shop
