At least Public liability and Motor Traders if you move the customers car.

Do they have to have cover for any damage to the customers car whilst working on it?

Cheers guys. It's not for me....I had a mobile mechanic do some work on my car and he left scratches on the wings, so was wondering if he would/should have insurance cover.

My policy covers damage to any of my cars or my customers cars in my possession.... i would think that any self respecting mobile mechanic would have a similar policy

I am not sure... no one forces me to pay ALOT of money to AXA each year... we are talking thousands so i would think that there are alot of mobile mechanics/valeters etc that dont pay it and take a risk.
