if anyone had the answer they would they wouldnt be on scoobynet but more likely on rollsroycenet.Wouldnt let anyone gamble with my money definetly not strangers

Sharepicking is a job in itself. I'd recommend buying into a fund with a good manager, but not until you know what sort of fund you want to buy into. If you haven't already got an ISA, you should look into that too.

In the early 1990s, NBC television in the States pitted a monkey with a 'roladex' against several professional stockbrokers. One of the stockbrokers was arrogant enough to boast that he would offer the ape a job if it beat him in picking stocks over the trial period.
Fast forward to the end of the game a few months later to see the stockbroker asking the monkey to come and work for him. The monkey won!
My advice too would be to put it into a fund and avoid concentrating your risk in any one stock. HTH
