Any electronics manufacturers on here?
We need to source LED strips for one of our products- that can be powered by a solar panel / battery arrangement.
The product is a display case- we currently produce about a thousand a month, and would like an electronics company to design and supply the lighting system.
Are there any electronics people on ebay?

Initially I need to make samples but I don't have the knowledge unfortunately

Also dont knock China - i've dealt with them for years and their quality is spot on nowadays.
The only issue is logistics but if the stuff is fairly light. (under 100kgs) you'd be better flying it over anyway. Normally a ship takes 3-4 weeks with customs clearance

There's two completely separate issues here - who to get to design the product, and where to physically build it.
The two need not be connected - and in fact are unlikely to be.
It doesn't sound like an especially complex product, you should be able to find a contractor in the UK who can design it. You'll have to stump up the cash for prototypes, of course, but these could (and, IMHO, should) be made by a UK manufacturer - this will give you the quickest turnaround and the most flexibility to accommodate design changes.
Once you have a prototype you like, then you can look into foreign manufacturing if the costs and lead times work out - but don't get ahead of yourself. You want to have a design you're 100% happy with first; scrapping a handful of prototypes is much less costly than scrapping a whole production batch that you've waited 6 months for from the Far East. (That's not an unusually long lead time BTW - bear this in mind. Chinese factories do 'cheap' and 'high volume'. They don't do 'flexible', 'quick' or (necessarily) 'English', and their supplier base may be totally different to yours too).
