Just got a N73 on Friday. Im with orange, free upgrade etc. Did have a 6230i or something.

Now, had it 2 days and its over complicated. Also, got this weird situation where I get calls, and a message "Data connection packet ...". Then when the call stops, get the same message but saying its started. So, looks like Im connected to the web or something.

Slower than the 6230i, wider, fatter, they changed the charge adapter fitting to eve nsmaller now, so where as I had a charger at work and home, have ot now take the charger with me.

I like the camera, 3.2m pixels, but it doesnt come with a memory card, so I need ot buy one.

At the moment, Im 50/50. Would like to sort of this data connection packet crap, I deleted the data connection setttings, as I dont like the idea of being connected ot the net all the time. I dont use the net at all on my phone.

I need a cover for it aswell, and some more funky ring tones as the standard ones are as interested as cabbage.

When the phone is on, hold down the end call button
Will disconnect the permanent data connection (have to do this each time you turn the phone on or it switches back on)
Then go to Settings -> connections->packet data, and change it to 'when needed'
Above is how it is done on my N80, which is broadly similar to the 73.
Should sort out your problem. Annoyed the hell out of me before I worked out how to get rid of it.
