Default Does dyslexia Exist

Or is it just an excuse for stupid people not being able to spell properly?

How about ADHD? Is it a disorder or just a poorly disciplined child on a sugar rush?

Depression?! PAH! Just chill out and stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Does exist need a capital E?

You are asking a question so where is the question mark?

Dickslexia rules KO!

Don't get me started on grammer.

No, fair enough.

At the end of the question, after it says "spell properly"

The prefered spelling is grammar

Yup - I know some people with high IQ's that are dyslexic. Likewise the effect that glasses with coloured lenses can have for some people is dramatic and I don't think a pair of hippy glasses are going to suddenly make a thick person clever!

I have dyslexia (only diagnosed as an adult), had a real tough time at school. So yes I believe it exists, My stupidity is reserved for excuses in other areas tho.
ADHD I have a little problem with an easy route for parents to use here, although some evidence suggests that the right dose of Ritalin(sp?) can have a successfull effect.
Depression, a huge problem in the UK and sufferers have a real hard time of it.Mainly from well wishers telling them to "put a brave face on it" and the like. I have not suffered yet but have friends who have and I would not wish it on my worst enemy (well I would but he is a d1ck and deserves it) and that says more about me than I would normally care to divulge.

This post has been brought to you without the use of a spellchecker and as such (see above) I hope it is legible.

The conditions do exist.

However doctors are sometimes too quick/ inept to diagnose a stupid/feral kid with a medical condition, when it is actually caused by social circumstance.

Perhaps we should also ask "Do fat women really suffer from thyroid problems" or it an excuse to stuff your face with 99p chcocolate cake from Farmfoods?

It's along the same lines, finding a medical excuse to argue a physical condition

Dyslexia causes difficulties with reading and writing. Most of the people I've met who claim to have dyslexia would be dumb even if they could read and write.

The suggested cure for childhood depression is to ditch their mobiles, take tv out of the bedroom, burn the playstation and go outside into the big world and breathe fresh air.

I didn't know anyone at school who had problems spelling. But that was twenty years ago and standards have improved so they say
