Is stuff a ton-load cheaper from China?
Talking Ebay here - I reckon they are probably scams...
I bought some Sony headphones which were stupidly cheap (brandnew boxed from china).... and they arrived 3 weeks later.
I'm now looking at getting some better CDJs and there are a few sets nice and cheap. Are they just the usual scams, or are electrical items really cheap there?

I bought a Canon SLR battery grip with two Canon OEM batteries for £45 inc delivery on EBAY, the battery grip in the UK is £69 and the batteries are £34 each. So yes much cheaper

Its cheap if you dont get a load of import duty and vat slapped on what you import. If youre unlucky that can make it more expensive than UK bought stuff, but most cases its cheaper!
Make the most of it tho - when China re-value their currency (next year possibly), then the price of imports will increase by some margin (and just watch inflation here rocket, as Chinese imports are about the only thing which have remained cheap, and havent increased so far - hence why the governments official inflation calculation assumes people by lots of cheap DVD's players etc each month!)

Thing is, theyre not fakes. Theyre built with exactly the same parts etc and do exactly the same thing, theyre just not going through the factory they should and branded by naughty people

i've been dealing with China for years and it amazes me how cheap stuff is over there.
I can get a DVD player for 8-10 dollars - and you thought Asda was cheap

I got my 3 CDJs from the US
Wave some cash under the shopkeepers nose on canal street in New York and they will do you a deal and miss off the sales tax for cash if you ask really nicely.
Saved me a hell of a lot! But then, I am over there once a month so no extra hassle. Exchange rate is stupidly cheap.
Be wary of ordering them and having them shipped- you will get really screwed on import duty and VAT. Very very unlikely you would get away with no tax/duty on something that size. Lots of scammers on there from the far east too!
There are two CDj1000 mk2s on ebay for £500 each buy it now from a uk seller (not me!) if that is of any use to you?

At the price they are selling for i will do without warranty.
Theres a few different sellers doing them for the same insanely low prices, but it still smacks scam to me. They are only for home practice so wont get heavy abuse or ought.

How much are they? Pm me a link if you like and I will have a look.
They arent bulletproof - far from it- and without a warranty, will be ££ to repair. Especially risky being shipped from the far east.
