Default Jumper

On my way to work this morning, running a little late as nearly overslept , when I came across a traffic jam, nothing unusual in that you think? Not at 05:50 in the morning though!
Turns out that we had a jumper about to drop onto the motorway, so the police had diverted the traffic off the mway and onto the exit, then back onto the mway further down. Trouble was, once the mway was closed, the muppet jumper relises he's not going to be able to go splash on the mway, so moves down the bridge to above the slip road! By which time I was past and nearly in work

he was trying to jump off brinnington road onto the m60, then moved to crookilley way

This happened to me the other week going home on the M60. i saw what i thought was a dummy sat on a bridge as i got closer i realised it was a bloke. there were no police there only the Highway Patrol. obviously i was straight on to the police, i literally drove right under him.

Operator: 'We are aware of the situation, is he still there? has he jumped yet?'

Me: No i've just told you that, i suggest getting the police here asap and closing the motorway before he does.

As it happened i never heard anything on the news so i took it he must have been talked down.
