my dog gets petrified with the bangs, he has pills from the vet to calm him down, but they mess him up for two days after , so its just turn the tv up and keep him occupied with a tennis ball in the house

We keep our Lab inside because she's a big chicken when there are fireworks. My friends Weim seemed to enjoy them the other night, she was looking up watching them, and one could almost imagine her going "ooooh" and "aaaahhhh" in her head

The Vets are giving out diazipan SP in extreme cases this year i`ve been told. Should be safe as they were probably tested on animals before human use, would probably be a weight of animal-dosage ratio.

Mine sometimes manages to open one eye if a firework the size of a small nuclear warhead goes off.
If it ain't food, a walk, a postman to scare the crap out of or dog borstal on the telly he's not interested.
It dark, he's had his dinner and its sleep time.

Our dog cunningly avoids firework terror by being both blind and deaf.
I am getting a Braille typewriter so I can explain to her very vividly the terrifying bangs going on outside that she should be aware of.
Still going, however, as the other day my wife was distracted when she came in with the shopping and the dog got in and ate six Chicken Satay snacks including the wooden sticks, with no apparent ill effects, a decent healthy dog would have died from massive internal injuries or at the very least had a very expensive operation. I fully expect her turds to look like Ker Plunk.

My red mutt not too popular with the wife at the minute. As I've said before he steals clothes/shoes/remotes etc and hides them in his bed. We don't usually bother as he doesn't damage anything. The other day he stole one of the wifes slippers and destroyed it. For all who've seen his photos know that this was not a problem. So the wife in her wisdom told me not to leave anything out that he could steal.
We had a new bathroom put in a couple of weeks ago so she had to get new blinds/curtains/ rugs and lovely fluffy expensive towels. Guess what was found in his bed yesterday afternoon. He had got them all and piled them up and was lying on top of them.
Boy is he popular

Mum has something that looks like a plug-in Glade type air freshener but has happy dog pheromones in it. For her dog - not her. She's as chilled out as you get anyway.
Dog's still as mad as a box of frogs but he's a little less likely to go loopy when someone pops a crisp packet in the next street. Oh, and he's a proper dog, too...
