Pure And Easy

If you mean just for today, it has to be Madonna's song. I can't remember which one, sorry. Heard it after years and it was fun to work out in the gym:

Strange innit, how these catchy tunes can hound you for the whole day!
The next day or so, you feel so ******* embarrassed about giving so much importance to that silly tune!

Pure and Easy is almost the perfect song. I'm amazed that it never really made it onto an 'official' Who album, it's so good.
I had always thought it was on 'Quadrophenia' but apparently it isn't. It was supposed to be part of the still born Lifehouse project that eventually resulted in the Who's Next album.

Unclebuck,
it was on Odds and Sods and as an extra on the remastered version of Who's Next, both slightly different but as you say it was part of Lifehouse
I managed to get a pre-release of Endless Wire and its a cracker - not bad for the first album in 20 years. Palladino is good but he's not The Ox

I'm looking forward to the lads performing Endless Wire on BBC - Electric Proms - Watch and listen online
Forget Billy Brag or the Zutons lol
Is that Pino Palladino on bass?? I thought he was a 'fretless' bass specialist in his day.

No Odds and Sods was the one with The Who all wearing american football helmets and a ripped cover.
The baked beans was The Who Sell Out later released as a double with A Quick One.
Pino Palladino has played on some of Pete's solo stuff and is the "replacement" for The Ox. He is a fretless bassmeister and he is bludy good but he can't play like John Entwistle who IMO plays bass almost like a lead guitar.
Pino Palladino also playes in John Mayers band - he is worth a listen to especially "Any Given Thursday"
Fave song at the moment is New Shoes by Paulo Nutini - a good album not a bad track on it
Missus has just told me the Who are on Parky tonight - might break a habit and watch the idiot box instead of listening to some tunes

We never listened to Odds and Sods because it a was a) a compilation and b) looked 'American' - a genuine Who 'sell out' (as we saw it) I'll have to check it out.
I think I'm with you on the 'parky' front too - ITV sh*te When does it start??
Pino Palladino - I only remember from the 80s as Paul Youg's bass player in 'the Royal Family' IIRC who was also highly regarded as a session bassist.

Nine Below Zero?
They were feckin ace live, supported The Who in the 80s
A few years (about 20 ) later my mate ends up being their manager and we go all over the North West at loads of really cool sweaty venues to watch them!
Mark Feltham is a fantastic harp player so distinctive, played on a Will Young single but as soon as you heard it - you knew
**** I'm going to be up all night now reminiscing
