The future police state started in 1997
How will you feel when the council snoops appear on your doorstep with a more powerful right of entry than the police with their digi cameras to take pictures of the inside of your house as well as trying to increase your council tax if you have a garage, parking space, a garden shed and a nice view, do you live near a school or a railway station etc. Any way for Flash's moneygrubbing spies to charge us more tax so that the councillors can go off on their free trips to the twinned towns every year!

He may have a point that it would be good in catching criminals, but....
...what's the point of catching criminals if our justice system is so lax that you get sent to a nice comfy prison for a few months if you kill someone!!

Most criminal these days get no jail time, and just a fine. And thats less then you get when caught speeding.
Same as driving without Insurance. What deterrant is a £100 fine, when they get out of paying, say £600 for insurance.
