Landscaping design software?
Does anyone know if there are any available?
Basically import a digital pic of the garden, so that you can add flowerbeds / water features / driveways etc to see what it would look like?
Any help welcome
Cheers

Depends what you want it for. The Geoff Hamilton one is OK for general layout and working out the best plants to use, it has a plant encyclopedia which is handy and can render the garden at any time of year to show colours and grow etc. If you want to work out a materials list then forget it, you'd be better off with a CAD package. Google's sketchup is free and pretty good.

It a request from the guy thats currently doing my driveway, its basically so that he can show potential customers what their gardan / new drive would look like from a before / after perspective. He wouldn't need it for materials list / valuation etc

Sounds like he needs something like Photoshop. I have seen the digital overlay stuff for interiors but not exterior, although that doesn't mean they don't exist

Thats kind of what I suggested, although looking at Sketch-up if its easy to use then he could create a complete CAD drawing from the photo, as seen on all the property style TV shows

I've seen better, but here's an example of a house related one (and there are lots of house components on the web)
Also look in here for some more examples.
