Phone guru's ???? Sony P990/M600 and Apple Mac ?
I currently have a Sony P800 which I synchronise with my Mac using iSync via Bluetooth for calendar and contacts through iCal and Address Book. I am considering upgrading to either a Sony P990 or M600, and would like to know if these 2 phones both work well with Mac's ???
Also, apart from the camera which I will hardly ever use, is there any other reason to justify the P990, the M600 looks much less bulky ? I aren't too bothered by all the whistles and bells, so long as I can call, text, and arrange my diary in conjunction with my Mac, I have no other functional requirements. I do however want a full QWERTY keyboard as I have got used to this on my P800.
Vodaphone can offer either of these for £25 with 225 minutes any net/time, 200 land minutes and 100 texts.

Brilliant, much appreciated
Except I've just noticed I need Tiger, and my old G3 lappy isn't really up to that Also, the link doesn't list any Sony Erricson handsets

is it a 333mhz - if so it will run Tiger but you should have at least 384mb i reckon... They do struggle a bit with only 256mb..... (they still struggle with 384 )

IIRC it is 400mhz with 320mb, but seeing how the 1ghz/1gb G4 QS's struggle sometimes with Tiger at work, I've decided not to bother on my lappy. I intend to upgrade soon, either buying a mates 17" G4PB, a 24" iMac or a Mini set-up, but haven't decided how much I want to spend and whether I want to retain portability or not. I'm just waiting for Merom to be utilised across the range, Leopard and a few more apps to go universal. Probably do a deal in the spring. I'm also a bit pi$$ed at the Mat$hita DVD drives being used in Mac's now not being region hackable, as I have a large multi-region DVD collection.

out of all those options, I would plumb for the imac 24". obviously you get the airport/wireless side in the imac, but it aint portable so to speak
one other option is to get your mates powerbook (it is G4 so getting old school, so I have one and hook it to a really big monitor, keyboard and mouse for desktop work, then unhook it for the portable side of life.
Though consider how much that will all cost against the cost of a faster, newer imac.
you are right to forget the old laptop upgrade path. it just aint worth it.
