Found this on my lawn Sunday morning,

still fresh by the look of it, no other evidence around of what remains of what i can only assume is a pigeon

A few months back I went downstairs on a Sunday morning and saw a similar trail of white/grey feathers on the lawn.
I was in the middle of thinking "Bloody neighbours cats!" when I saw that the unfortunate pidgeon was still being eaten - by a bird-of-prey, probably a hawk.
It was quite amazing to see - I'll never forget the bird's eyes - even from several metres away I could see the bright yellow irises.

Whilst enjoying a pint at our local we watched with sheer amazement as a Kestral literally dive bombed a Wood Pidgeon out of the sky. The pair of them came spiralling down onto the car park locked together. Upon landing the Kestral sat down to enjoy it's feast!
Awesome sight, the hunter and the hunted.

More likely a hawk tbh. I cant remember what kind of hawk it is they have as a visitor, but thats the sight that greets my parents quite often in their back garden as a result of 'hawk hunger'

I found a Wood Pigeon that had been mauled, picked it up and inspected it, decided to find a box for it to recuperate in, then thought why bother, its fooked as it was infected so I just wrung its neck, ready for work, strangling a Pigeon in the middle of the lawn, hope the neighbours didnt see as they wouldnt know it was ill and insist I wore a bell round my neck in future.
Felt like a right murderer all day.

Once I was out walking when a hawk took a pigeon right in front of my face. The pigeon was swooping across the path a couple of feet in front of me at about head height, and appeared to simply explode with a thud. The hawk didn't get a good grip, it went back up and the pigeon was knocked into some bushes. I was left standing there as a cloud of feathers settled around me...
