Film Title
Hi
Trying to remember the title of a film, but cannot!
Film is based on a bank job, in America. 4 or 5 guys go in, very heavily armed come out with the money in big black holdall bags. Police have been tipped off and there's a shoot out lasting around 20 to 30 mins.
TIA
Buck

If it was 'Heat' then Id expect the well known actors to be mentioned. Seeing as they arent; then Id propose a film called 'L.A.Takedown'. It fits the story outline; its was shorter than Heat but the bank-robbery-gone-wrong element is of a similar length, all unknown actors too. The reason that it is so similar to 'Heat'? It was directed by Michael Mann; 'Heat' was his second big-budget attempt at the same story.....

There's a lot of police cars getting sprayed with automatic rifles.
One of the bank robbers picks up a little girl as a hostage, whilst on the run.
Just watched the trailer for Heat and it does not ring a bell. (I have seen the film before, but it was a while ago since I last watched Heat).

Only still I can find from that part of Heat, if it rings any bells:
It still fits your model as Tom Sizemore picked up the little girl in Heat and gets shot in the head by Andy Garcia and ends up in a fountain.
It's been ages since I watched LA Takedown but it is essentially the same film.

I stand corrected, I think it was Heat, rememeber this chap in the film, Tom Sizemore. He's the one that used the little girl as a hostage.
