I know quite a few girls here who are / were club reps , and they all pretty much the same: They get treated like sh1te by whichever company they work for, but love the job!
I think part of the problem is that from what I hear many of them don't actually get treated too badly - it's just that with everybody else on holiday, it sems unfair having to get up and go to work every morning! That has to be the most important thing with any "holiday resort" job, you are working, not on holiday!
Those that slack can be easily shown the door as there is more than enough people to take thier place.
Charachter is obviously important too, need to be outgoing and bubbly in front of the punters, and then not get offended when they get mullered on the organised bar crawls and try and chat up / puke over the rep
Is she thinking of the 18-30 type or general "family" holiday companies??

The above is generally true and sums it all up. i lived abroad next to a load of cosmos reps. Theres 2 types of working away really - being a rep and actually working/being busy/wearing a uniform and theres working in a bar of a night. This involves much bumming around and a few hours work of a night.
Obviously option 1 has a salary and they usually provide accomodation so thats a good option, but more work and less fun than option 2.
They all loved it tho, except when we threw waterbombs across the balcony to their uniforms when they were due to start

My Mrs used to do it and it's very hard work. Try taking a load of people out an a pub crawl until the early hours then collecting another bunch from the airport at 5am then doing a welcome meeting at 8am then doing pool games all afternoon before going on on the next pub crawl...
