Not just a fantastic leader, but a fantastic symbol of Great Britain. Not a better person could be chosen to represent our people.
Good on you Tony, your legacy will live on

The thing is, everyone who hates him, do so for the Iraq war issue, and kinda forget how he has got the country off its ****.
He's got to rank as one of the best speakers in the history of world politics.
I bet the yanks wish they had him.

I cant wait to see the lame duck go, but Gordie is twice as bad, that speech impediment he has is sooo bad.
Between the lot of them New Labia's PC changes are ruining this country. Too much emphasis on the criminal and not enough on the victim, no room in prisons so no one gets locked up. Get assaulted and swear at your attackers, you get a fine. Huge reduction year on year in hospital beds and staff. What ever next.....................

The man sold his party down the river forcing them into middle ground politics and essentially destroying any freedom of choice for the electorate. Voting now being based on personality of leader and class only.
There have been no improvements in 9 years of government, hospitals closing, schools closing, healthcare waiting lists longer but fudged to look better, more unemployed but on "new deals" to make it look like less. More street crime and public concern of yob culture, more debt, more poltical correctness making the country soft and so embracing a compensation culture. Oh and more sleaze than in any previous government...
Add to that him being GWB's bitch taking the country to war on lies, sentancing to death thousands of our own and thus inciting the terrorist plots both successful and unsuccesful on this country and yeah, Blair will be remembered as a great leader
Ahhh but I can get a cheap loan and my house is worth a lot more than it was 9 years ago so things must be OK really...woohoo

Pontificating
It's been pure cheese from Manchester this week, this is a political party
The bull**** has been flowing like the champers at the K club !! and the faux back slapping between the ***** at No's 10 and 11 is quite sickly, I don't usually concur with anything that Cherie says but for once she was spot on, Brown is a terrible liar, still like the man says he's been working with Blair for the past 23 years, some of it had to rub off. Lastly it's always nice to see two slags looking so miserable.
Man, they drag you down this lot

Not one Man on this BBS could hold a candle to him ..... not in public speaking, not in leadership, not in passion, not in honesty, not in intelligence and not in charisma ..
Yet, such is the way with this country, sad losers who have achieved NOTHING in their tiny little lives have a pop at him!
History will show him as one of the greatest leaders .................. a LONG LONG time after you (and I) have been forgotten by everyone!
He is the thinking mans leader ...

Now let me say, I've been around this board a long time and I'm not going to get into a "postathon" with you over something I know you don't believe just to bolster our "average posts per day" old man...

UB,
Tony HAS helped shape the world. You can't deny it. Places like Afghanistan and Iraq are some fine examples of how Tony's actions have had an impact on the everyday lives of people.

Just looked out the window.
The place is ten years worse than it used to be.Children are ten times thicker but with ten times the qualifications
Be nice to see what Gordon does with Blair's Tinderbox.Carefully crafted to blow up in the suckers face.Should be fun the next few years

Agree pslewis, a fantastic leader and speaker, the people imho who slate him have very short memoriies in terms of what we had before. We have had unpresendated levels of employment, the economy has been very strong, we have more money going into school to effectivly teach our children, people have benifited from strong house prices and many have taken advantage of the increased levels of equity they have in their homes etc, more money into hospitals to reduce waiting lists etc, I think there are a great deal of positives and rome isnt built in a day, and after the under investment from the last lot i think things are moving in the right direction.
I think the main problem has been Iraq - in my opinion the government did the right thing, but most people dont seem to share that opinion which is why since we went into Iraq the governments popularity has gone down hill.
just my views, but people dont realise how good things were until they no longer have them..

That was almost certainly David Cameron, lol, who without Blair to compete against does now have a realistic chance to get the Tories back in.
Where can i lodge my support for Gordon Brown?
