Shipping to Northern / Southern Ireland- ideas?
Guys, I have a smallish engineering company based in the North West.
A year or so ago we started making our own product and online sales have been good.
I think that we could also sell successfully to Ireland, but the logistics are proving a headache.
The product ships in the UK for £6.70 + VAT through CityLink, but to get it to Ireland seems very costly; the best quotes I've got so far are £16+ to Northern Ireland, and about £30+ to the Republic.
I have a mate over there so I could potentially drive over with a van full and ship from his place, but it really isn't ideal.
Does anyone know of any better shipping solutions??
Thanks

Sort of in the overnight game but I think you'll find that those are pretty much standard costs for those areas. My "trade" costs are about 50% of yours for those areas on a next business day basis on paper before I put my costs on for collection etc.
Hunt around the various suppliers in your area - try these as they are who we generally use for NI. Not sure of the Rep but they may do as well.
