PDA's WIFI internet etc etc etc
had a pda couple years ago with wifi but i found that if i was out and about and found a internet wireless and started using it it was quite slow and pages took ages to load, but if i flicked onmy laptop to pick up the same signal it was fine
so are pda's a little faster now? if so what features etc should i be looking for in one to buy ????
ive seen a dell x51 that looks quite good
only have a £250 tops budget though

90% of them are still crap at throughput of information. Great when cached, but it's just not what PDA's are made for. They hate pictures full stop. If you use dedicated PDA designed sites, then you can bookmark them and use it that way, but otherwise, better to get a small mini notebook (sony vaio).

My Dell X50V is still pretty slow, though it's usable over Wi-fi.
No way would I ever buy another Dell after the experience I had with their Indian call centre earlier this year, though. Their ignorance of UK consumer protection law was astonishing.

I've just received T-Mobile's MDA Vario II on their web 'n' walk package - and it's absolutely fantastic. Speeds are easily as fast as my home broadband when I'm in a 3g or Wi-Fi area, and it has no problems with pictures or non-PDA specific sites.

I have a Siemens Pocket loox 720 and I think its fine, sure it's a bit slow but still usable. It's main use is Tom Tom but it's great to log on to some unsecured wireless connection and do some email/web surfing/msn messenger.
