In shock!! Orange Service!!
I called Orange today - completely new IVR menu - one click to access the mobile help menu leading to Welcome to Orange Premier then one click to request an agent. Answered in three rings.
Told them about my faulty handset, two questions, offered to deliver new one 9am tomorrow morning.
Top service.
It was so good I had to try it again to see if it was a fluke. Same result, almost straight through.

No, its for all the people who spend excessive amount on phone calls, it makes them feel special so they make more calls and make make the providers huge profits. its your calls that subsidise all my free minutes
I think you will find your actually paying for it in your line rental

hmm you do the math... £489 handset over 12 months... £40.75 you effectivly pay for the handset. The free minutes are nothing to them. and i bet you go over the 900 mins per month.

Are you deluded?
Just checking
Let us know what your fantastic deal is then
Rannoch
PS No I don't go over my 900 minutes a month - I was paying more for less minutes - now I pay a lot less for exactly what I want

it costs 25pcm and im more than happy.
orange went stupid, despite me spending premium money on handsets, and decided my future upgrade would be an spv with no room for movement, so i walked, 02 matched my tarrif and still gave me a 12mth contract which orange were unwilling to do.
iir orange no longer do a 25 tarrif, its all animals now, with odd prices and messages

I pay 4.3p a minute including an SPV 3100 (effectively micro-PC) and all my texts.
I wonder who is the one who is spending excessive amounts on his phone contract
PS You still aren't bitter because when you tried the free upgrade path with Orange they told you to get lost as you were a rubbish customer are you?

my calls are only 10p a minute at al times. all cross network stuff is via my free minutes.. so no cost there.
i payed the same amount with orange, and got no texts so on that part i,m better off,
excessive amount on phone contracts, hmm
you pay £439 i pay £300 dont see how its excessive given you pay £139 a year more.
SPV range, hope theyve improved somewhat, there first attempts used to eat battery life and wernt really an option for serious pda use. the latter varients wouldnt run certain windows software which rendered them pretty useless.
free upgrade. i got a free upgrade to the D500 when it was first released on orange, 2 days after launch last year, so yes i do get free upgrades.
I walked this year as all they were prepared to do was an SPV music, which wasnt what i wanted.
The best phone i had for all round pda / phone use was the treo 600,
quad band, touch screen, and self configuring email out of the box. and access to loads of free palm apps. Touch screen long before the others had got to the party!
still got it now and use it for work abroad.

£25 a month for 100 minutes or £25 a month for 250 minutes?
Which is it?
I am not surprised PSL thinks you are a muppet
