Help! Parents 45th Anniversary Present
My parents are celebrating their 45 wedding anniversary this weekend, and I am at a complete loss as to what to buy them for a present.
Budget is up to about £250.00 Absolute tops, so Carribean cruises and the like are out. I want somethiing that they can both use so a Saphire brooch won't be much use, Balloon trip is a no go due to my Mums bad neck.
My brother has got them an Ipod which is about the only Gizmo they don't have.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be very please to hear them.
Cheers
Andy

Get hold of a favourite family photo, get it enlarged and printed onto one of those canvas effect prints. Silver frame around and there you have it. Buy a tree for their garden. Japanese Maple or something classy.
Silver neck brace?

I like the tree idea David, thanks for that.
DCIGH, that is not an option, we've already given them three of those and it wasn't even for anniversaries!! probably lost its impact now and also a bit of a tall order to sort by the weekend. We have now realised what was causing it, and taken appropriate steps.....

Had a similar kind of thing some time ago. We hired a limo and took them to the original church where they were married. Took photos etc and back in the limo for a tour of their life and times around the area. Eventually returning back to the house for a big party.
How about a trip back to where they hooneymooned? Probably was still in this country and won't cost that much

Limo idea is nice, but they now live a long way from where they were married, so probably not practical.
Party would be good, but a bit late to get arranged.
Weekend break to where they honeymooned might work though, I think it was Torquay, just need to do a bit of detective work to see if I can find out the hotel.

Sort of keeping to the traditional Sapphire theme & the tree idea - what about the tree in a gorgeous sapphire blue plant pot? I know you can get some lovely terracotta glazed ones from most decent garden centres.
Just an idea.....
