Is it common place to get a dozen emails offering you a second chance to buy a fleabay item 'outside ebay' as a second place bidder because the winner can't/won't pay up?

Feckin scammers ........... might just string one along for a laugh

yes it is, it is also common for an email saying please send us the goods or return our money.. I get this daily and aint sold nowt on ebay for months
