Default A scammer wants to buy my wife's car

I've just been having a bit of fun with a scammer, which is a bit unethical - I know.... but who cares

Anyway, my wife is selling her car. Its currently in the Auto Trader. Now I expected cardata (or whatever) to be telephoning me, but this morning I received an email:

I'll post the sender's emails in blue, and my replies in orange

around this area think the car is very good.

Is this ok with you?

That medium balanced flying flange sprocket wouldn't be white with a red cross and mounted on the window, would it?

Nice one Burr

My bro did a similar thing, and gave loads of false details, strung the guy along for weeks, asked him as a gesture of good will, would he wire over 500 quid via Western Union, and he would send this back once the deal is complete

At that point the guy never got back in touch with my bro

I don't have any family. They were killed recently in a tragic accident involving a large trampoline, but thank you for your kind thoughts.

Unfortunately, the car cannot be taken off-sale as I do not have control over the magazine advertisements, but if anyone does contact me I'll tell them that my good friend Rod Ben has bought it and is going to rice it.

Just in addition to my last description. Please note that the wheels have been balanced using a splicing-brace combined with grease-de-elbow which produces satisfying results.

Please hurry with the cheque, as I cannot hold the car for long, and I intend to spend the proceeds on a wild lifestyle.
