Just booked a flight into malaga for the half term wk in october.

Looking through the accommodation and found some nice hotels, looking at marbella but are things like eating out and drinks abit pricey ?

Some advice would be greatly welcomed,

Why not rent an Apartment down there. Much better accommadation and if theres a few going works out cheaper as well.

If not why not stay in Puerto Banus. It's much nicer than Marbella with loads of places to eat around the harbour and all quite reasonably priced.

Marbella used to be ok, but the last time I was there seemed a bit run down. It seems to have changed a lot since the motorway was built around the town.

Malaga is a lively city, and has plenty of mainline chain hotels to stay at. All the hotels are close to the centre, and there is a good train service along the coast from Malage to Fuengirola, and all stops between including Torremolinos, Benalmadina, etc..

I had a day out in Marbella and to be honest i was expecting million pound this and that - to me what i saw was a sh*t hole. why dont you stay down the road in Benalmadina which is very nice and a lovely Marina with bars and nice restaurants.

Benalmadena IMO was miles nicer than Marbella although i'm sure it wont have the nightlife of Marbella
