Ever feel like something's going on???
Yesterday and today seems to have been manic in London, police - marked and unmarked, zooming everywhere (both on my way to and from work on the bike but also while in the office I can hear them, sirens blazing), choppers all over the place, and all the checkpoint booths around the city and on the key bridges are manned, with vans being stopped etc.
There was even a van at the entrance to the rotherhithe tunnel last night on the way home
The threat level is still 'only' severe, but I get a real feeling something is or was afoot.

I was driving down the M4 today and a brand new black Range Rover Vogue went screaming past in the fast lane. It had blue lights hidden in the grille which were flashing, but no other markings whatsoever. The coppers inside weren't in uniform either, well I assume they were coppers - maybe some other security service types?

If they're hurrying to a call out covert is the last thing on their minds I'd have thought when the essence is getting there quick. Copters are certainly used, but then so are Range Rovers. I'm an expert *couch couch* as I've read a book or two by Andy McNab
