Just got my Breitling back...
The postie has just called bearing gifts.
About 10 days ago I sent my Avenger Seawolf back to Breitling. Basically it had been running a touch fast (2 or 3 minutes a week) ever since new, and I'd managed to pick up a few light scratches on the case/bracelet from wearing it almost 24/7 the last 2 years.
Anyway I sent it off to Breitling UK and asked them to regulate (calibrate) it, and give it a proper clean and polish. I expected them to charge me but it arrived back here this morning looking absolutely brand new, regulated, and in a really nice Breitling logo'd travel case - all completely free of charge!!
I was planning to sell it when I got it back but now I'm half tempted to keep it!
Thanks Breitling.

Tags address please. what did you do you send it back with a simple letter and your address? recorded delivery or other carrier I presume? Didnt bother giving any card details to be charged with or anything? Mines nearly 6 years old now and could do with a service.

Well done Matt. I can't say for Tag but for Breitling I called their customer service number first to have a chat about what I wanted doing. Then I sent the watch and the warranty book back to them with a covering letter, fully insured with Special Delivery. For Breitling, if there's any charge for non warranty work they ring you up and quote the price, and get your confirmation before going ahead with it. Then they ring up again and can take credit/debit card details over the phone before sending it back to you. In my case they just did everything under warranty and sent the watch back to me in a nice new case, again by Special Delivery.
They didn't even charge me for shipping it back.
You can of course just take a watch in to a local official dealers and they'll send it off for you. But I doubt if you'd get any cool freebies that way.

What are the service intervals?
Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly in order to work perfectly. Obviously, we cannot indicate the intervals for such work, which depends on the model, climate and the care taken by the watch's owner. As a general rule, service intervals are between 4 and 5 years, depending on the use of the watch.

I have a Seamaster and as stated above for a seamaster is a max of 5 years if its the Chronometer, although I would do it at 4 years. Omega Europe are said to have a very good service department.
Although not a fan of Breitling as they are a bit to bling for me you cant moan about the service you got, especially the freebies.
What are you getting as a next watch then?

Although I won't be too disappointed if I don't sell the Breitling, I still really like it.
