insurance claim - probable outcome?
Whos at fault here - or whos insurance is likely to come out worse off?
Car doing u-turn in road, other cars stopped coming in opposite direction. car starts to swing round then cant make it in one - so it turns into a 3-point turn.
motorbike coming down outside line of cars stopped waiting, and decides to go around said car doing 3-point turn just as car reverses a few feet to make more room. impact made, damage to car bumper, bike has scratches and broken footpeg...
go for the claim or cut loses and leave it?
any general feedback appreciated (and guess which vehicle i was in/on ?

Car at fault. Not clear to reverse.
Similar thing happened my Mum years ago.
Turning right from Main Rd, cars stopped to let her turn. She turned, car came up inside on stopped cars and hit her on the side. She lost as car coming up inside had right of way.

I think it sounds like the bike, you are legally allowed to do 3 point turns, unless sign posted otherwise or solid lines in the road. I remember being told many years agon on my driving lessons that you need to give way to cars doing a 3 point turn. The bike overtook when it was not safe to do so and never gave way. Its something they tell you to be very wary of on your bike test. If I were on the bike I'd see myself as to blame.

This is slightly differnt, the bike was filtering and creating a lane that did not exist.
