How to identify an 0800 0927206 number
Are there any sites that can tell me who owns the number? I tried a google search and it didn't show up.
The first time this number rang me I answered and then it started ringing again as if it was being diverted to somewhere else. So I hung up straight away. It keeps ringing but I don't want to answer it incase it's some sort of con. (divert you to a premium rate number maybe, assuming it's possible)

Funny you should mention that. I checked my balance and waited for the number to ring again and it was bl**dy NTL wanting to know if I'd got a leaflet through the door about their phone offer.
So case solved, it was NTL being far too persistant for my liking.

Yup, its an automatic dialer, when an agent is free the system automatically calls you, whats annoying though when when you answer the agent has already took another call so you end up being put on hold WTF Had it quite alot from Egg. When I finally got through they had some verbal abuse and they havent done it since...lol
