My other half has been having physio and they charge in 15 min slots. I think it's something like £30 for each slot - that was BUPA though

Cheers guys.

Spoke to the local hospital and they charge in 15 min slots. 1st session is one hour though (so charge is 4x 15min slots)

1st session is probably longer so they can assess you. You may find that after that your sessions are only 30minutes.

Shoulder. Something feels torn. Not really hurting a great deal, just causing some discomfort and stopping me using it 100%.

Thats what my other half originally said about his back...

one epidural, spinal surgery and several months of physio later....

Have you seen a GP?

Mine was a shoulder problem, ive torn my rotator cuff, little muscles in the shoulder joint that keep the joint stable. 6 sessions later its improved a great deal, still have to be careful though.

Thankfully no Ops required.

Stretched the muscles by applying pressure on my shoulder, with my arm in different positions, laying on the table. Checked how much movement i had due to symetry(sp) of the muscles in my back and shoulder. He then gave me exercises to do each day to strengthen the shoulder. The better it became harder exercises were given to work with. Medicine Ball, Exercise *****, holding a particular position.

Might have to pay the physio a visit in that case.

Just got back into working out at the gym and didnt want an injury to slow me down. Worked through a lower arm injury but this shoulder problem doesnt seem to be going away. Bugger

Mine was aquired from over doing it at the gym and not working the rotator cuffs enough, yet doing lots of benching and shoulder work.

Feels like a dull ache and restricts your movement ? sounds similar if it is.

Off out now but will read tomorrow.

Yeah sounds a little familiar. Can feel it if I place my fingers ontop of it and move my arm upwards.

Funnily enough it get more aggravated playing pool/snooker (back arm) than it does down the gym.

Will have to have it checked to see if its torn or not. I just hope it doesn't mean resting it.

Sounds similar, have it checked by your GP, he should be able to advise and point you in the way of a good physio to use.

Resting is always good for any injury as im sure you know, just take things a bit easier. Mines been a lot better for a few months now, but playing golf really aggravates it.
