Non hospital food
Wifes Grandad (94) has just had is hip replaced after breaking it and will be in hospital for about 6 weeks.
Thing is he hates the food so would like to get him something to have but it can't be anything that needs refrigeration, any suggestions?
He's got loads of fruit, biscuits etc but nothing savoury.
We're drawing a blank after crisps and pot noodles!

Maybe not what you had in mind but these get a very good name for being tasty and they are very simple and safe:

I have some but haven't actually used them yet so I can't comment from personal experience on the food but it might give him something different to try and no need to bother with heating, washing etc. etc.
