Can you get a suntan through glass...
As the question. Just been on a course a converstaion came up and in it a guy says you can't get sunburnt through glass. I have no idea but I know you get hot.....
Anyone help.

of course you can - unless the glass is treated or tinted to reduce/stop the uv rays. It's the rays that tan or burn you.

Now, if you got the tan without the cancer risks (ie the other way around) THAT would be cool

Same reason why reactolite specs don't work in the car, they need the UV to tell them to go dark and it never gets thro the glass.
So you spend a fortune on posh glasses and still need sunglasses to drive....
