It's strips, a bit like Amtico, and I got it fitted.
tbh, I've got Amtico in the "little lounge" and the Karndean looks better and is much easier to keep clean

I'm sure its great stuff but to say vinyl cannot be differed from real wood? Maybe if you wear a blindfold, gloves, headphones etc.....

Deep...Saying vinyl really gives the wrong impression...As the above pic shows. In fact i never even realised that it wasnt engineered wood until i started to read up about it tonight on the net.It really is that good.

As Leslie says,it looks absoultely stunning when down, and it aint cheap either!!!The one thing the guy did say(which i didnt understand at the time!!!) was that it was quiet to walk on,ie..no woden clonking when walked on..Sure Leslie will put us right on that one!!

Sorry! I'll look into at the weekend as I've chosen some wood floors but not paid for them yet as I'm worried about warping/maintenance

We have it in the lounge, the only thing I would say is that particularly with our floor as it's quite dark is that it does show scuffs much more than say a laminate floor.

It's pretty low maintenance but does require stripping back and resealing occasionally. On the plus side you can let you're imagination go wild with the borders, motifs etc. We have gold metal look strips in between each plank which does look good.

If I was to do it again though I would seriously consider a top quality laminate or real wood floor instead..
