I live in the middle and visit both ends of the country on a regular basis.
London - Ripp off, scruffy, unfriendly, false people.
North East - Always made welcome, always have a good time, people with real values.
Show as many chav pictures as you like but it wont make up for living at the wrong end.
Been done before though.

They are both equal IMO as a foreigner. The advantage London has is that it's a major world city so will of course attract many more models/actresses/bimbos and generally attractive people. (as well as foreigners)
As for the locals, most of them are minging and the same wherever you go in the UK.

yeah, I propose we break london off from the rest of the UK and make it into its own nation, so we dont have to pay for all those other lazy ***** who sit on theyre *** all day and have gold paved streets instead!

Yep you can all sit down there discussing how much debt you have and how big your mortgage payments are. You can sit outside your cafe and drink your £5 cup of coffee in your litter and graffiti filled streets.
The rest of us can sit and smile at you with our higher disposable income, cheaper living and cleaner streets.
Cheers

Ah the Pig and Whistle the only bar in the world where you need to wipe your feet when you leave. It just makes sure that you get the broken glass and pieces of teeth off the soles of your shoes.

I hasten to add that it was about 12 years ago i was in the Pig and Whistle let alone the Bigg Market. Being old (30) i now frequent much more up market areas such as Osbourne Rd, the quayside etc.
To echo what has been mentioned before i am amazed at the amount of non-locals usually southerners occasionally scots who say " i can't beleive how friendly it is here". i think this maybe down to the way we or certainly i was taught how to drink which was the man with a pile of drinks in his hands is god so don't get in his way when he's heading back to his mates. The other one was there is always some one bigger than you so don't even attempt to start something especially in the Bigg Market if you get away with out a kicking the numerous police will usually get you instead.
