Default Things to do in Bolton?

I'm spending the next few weeks working at O2 in Bury and I'll be staying at the Last Drop in Bolton. I'm originally from Chorley but haven't been in the area for any length of time for about 20 years so what is there to do? I'm thinking restaurants here!

you're staying a fair way out of Bury!

I can recommend a very nice Italian on Bolton Street in Bury... Bella Italia... excellent food! ( i'm originally from Bury.. moved up to Durham 3 years ago now)
really don't know Bolton all that well to be honest, especially up by the Last Drop... tho there are some nice little pubs along the main road!

you could always phone Mr.B's taxi's ! ( another Peter Kay 'thing')
and last I knew, if you did the commute from the last drop into Bury... you would probably go via Ainsworth... I believe this is where the man himself lives ( or did a few years back).

the commute from last drop will probably take you about 1/2 an hour to drive... maybe even a tad longer. can you not stay closer to Bury?

There's the Village hotel just at the side of the M66... you could even walk into Bury from there in less time than it takes for you to do the drive from Bolton.

Our company has another project in Darwen, so the Last Drop is about half way between the two.

I'm living darn sarf now so a 1/2 hour commute is luxury.
