I'm a beginner and going to my first one in a couple of weeks, so do people recommend insurance and if so, who are the best people to go to - also, I am going out with an instructor so will not be on my own.

My insurance company has very kindly confirmed that I am not covered, despite saying that only racing and time trials are excluded in the small print.

Finally, for the self righteous on here, I'm sure there's been hundreds of posts in the past about this, so I'm sorry if I'm too lazy too look through the archives...
