Spotted a silver Evo 7 at a petrol station on the A14. Old geeza filling it up (older than me - top man! ). Went for a closer look and it had four Audi rings stuck on the boot. Not only that, but TDi in the corner! Checked the front - four Audi rings on there, too, but a full set of bonnet vents gave it away.

WTF? Ok, I can understand the 'stealth' psychology, but that enormous rear wing was a bit of a giveaway! He buggered off before I could tell him he ain't fooled nobody

Richard.

Whats that trick then? Tell her you're going to pick up the new A4 and turn up with an EVOVII with four rings on the bonnet and hope she wont notice....

Good idea - It just might work......

*Crispin gets on phone to Ralliart and Audi parts Dept.....

Could have been an 'Er Indoors' type trick.

Naah, I've got it.

Chap leaves home, shouts "Goodbye love" and climbs into his A4, which for the sake of argument we'll say is metallic blue in colour.

Unbeknown to wife, he buggers off to Ralliart, does the part ex for his evo VII, swaps the badges over and makes sure the colour is about the same...

Gets home, new car in tow with Audi badges, wife says, "car colour looks a bit different".

"Oh yes, I put it through the car wash".

"That'll be it - did you have a good day at the office dear?"

Sneaky, and I like the cut of his jib.

Nick.

I wasn't 'allowed' a 911, so I had to get a nice sensible 4 door saloon

My mum has only just realised I *don't* drive a sensible estate car with a hole in the exhaust.
