ZZ Top Car!!
Just been watching the Gimme all your loving video from ZZ Top again.
Every time I see that I think how much I would love that car. It is cool

Think you are on the wrong forum mate !
Rods and Customs dont really get a look in here, I personally love them, bought Street Machine from when I was 13, still never had one though. I think they are fantastic but kind of look weird over here.
Went to a pub meet recently and there were some nice ones there, plus a few original muscle cars

I'd have a rod over a rice rocket, any day.
Don't really go for the plastic pig variety (fibreglass) though. Much prefer to see an old original body modified to suit, along with the chassis.

I must admit i like the rods myself, especially 34 Fords (3 window coupes),just like the zz top video. I've got a feeling the ZZ top one was built by Boyd Coddington and named the Eliminator although i'm not 100%.
Like Shark man says, you can get fibreglass versions now in a kit car style and they do look quite sweet. Check this page out for some nice ones

I'm more of a '32 hi-boy kind of a guy myself (oo-er missus). Halibrands, Moon tank and a DuVall windshield, gloss black paint and some subtle pinstriping.
The ZZ Top motor is actually a '33 Ford (not quite as pointy as a '34).
I still have a Street Machine bottle opener on my keyring
