Default Anyone in Reykjavik?

I'm off there on Friday morning, wondering about getting around and seeing stuff. Is there public transport to places like Thingvellir and Geysir/Gullfoss, or will we have to jump on a tourist bus/hire a car?

Cheers,
Steve.

Tourist Bus/Hire Car is the only real access to those places. Look through my previous posts for details. Car Hire is VERY expensive though (as is everything else, given that it's all imported!).

There is a suburb of Rekjavik that had produced more supermodels/catwalk models than anywhere else in the world!!!!

Tough luck mate having to go to such an awful place

You can check to see if Haldor is ready for TOTB!!!

Brilliant place was there just before christmas.

Car hire is expensive but not rediculous, petrol is the same price as the UK. Food and beer will be the main problems, for comparison a big mac (not meal) is ~£8.00 (no I didn't have one but good for price comparison), pizza ~£20 for a takeaway . A 3 course meal in our hotel was £50 a head and the choice was hot fish, cold fish or pickled fish.

Enjoy

Kev
