Default Hiring an 8 seater?

I've got a family wedding coming up soon which involves family flying in from various parts of the world and hanging around and wanting entertaining for a week or so. As things stand, this will mean loads of day trips and taking 2 cars to go anywhere. I've been trying to find an 8 seater to hire but most places only hire out 7 seaters (Zafira type things or Voyager type things) but for 8 seats it seems I'd need to hire a minibus which end up being £350 for the week.

Does anyone know somewhere that hires out something more car-like and not so expensive?

Where in the UK are you?

Ford Tourneo is an 8 seat MPV (based on the Transit)

Thrifty Van hire in Leeds have a few - there may be other Thrifty dealerships elsewhere

Cheers Burr. Tried them and it's £355 for the week. I don't reckon it's worth shelling out that much and I'm not going to get it any cheaper. I'll just stick to taking 2 cars everywhere.

You could always get someone to sit on someone's lap. They might enjoy it

£50 for a transit for a day and lob them all in the back. You can make a game of it. See who can stay standing for the longest

My last work used to hire a minibus from the local senior school. Providing you are insured, and allowed to drive a 16 seater (depends when you passed your test) approach them as ask nicely.

I've had a quick look and http://www.regal-motors.co.uk/ (click on car and van rental and scroll down). They hire out 10 seaters and 15 seaters for only £65 per day (all incl)
