Default Plasma screen question...

is it possible to get a pretty good quality plasma tv/monitor that'll take DVI, VGA and SCART for a grand? not interested in broadcast signals or HD Ready.

Yes, if you can get the 7th Gen Panasonic Viera it'll be the same as mine with a DVI, VGA and 3 or 4 (cant remember exactly) scarts. Not sure if you can still get them brand new though, I paid £2k for mine 18 months ago, did see them come down to £1k at some point but the 8th gen glass is out now so you might struggle.

I got a non HD Sony 42" plasma last year with scarts etc and with progressive scan which is the best. We are delighted with the picture quality and see no need for HD at the moment to be honest. Too expensive for too little return. Its outstanding for all forms of sport too.
