Question Parking in Dartmouth

I might be popping down there for the weekend, as my folks are renting a place there at the mo. Unfortunately the accommodation has only 1 parking space, and the old man says parking is almost impossible there.

Are there any residential roads on the outskirts that I can use? I know there's a Park & Ride scheme, but I'm not sure if that caters for overnight parking.

Anyone?

I wouldn't leave my car on the park and ride car park overnight matey

As for other places - I'm not too sure. I've used the pay and display in the centre a few times without a problem, but not sure of overnight costs etc... I've used the park and ride a few times during the day without a problem though - the funniest being the ride back up the hill on a full bus I couldve walked faster

Duck the road I stayed on a few years ago (above the Dartmouth Arms) is about the only place we saw, you may have to drive well along it to find somewhere though.

Newcomen Road.

Go in a dinghy. If it's less than a metre you won't have to pay to park in a mud berth!

Remember catching the ferry back in the wee small hours one time. Guy didn't want my money. Next day I realised it wasn't a ferry but some good samaritan

Or even the main car park opposite Plymco. If you look around you might find a free spot but there has been some recent car vandalism, mainly around Townstal though at the top of the hill. There is a lot of building work going on at Kingswear at the Yacht club.
