DVD - TV lead question
Plugging a DVD into the TV and it says you can use a single video lead (which i have) or HDTV lead - which the TV isnt, or a compenent lead with 3 "ends" on each end.......i have taken a lead i had with 2 "ends" and used that, along with the single video lead i had (single ended) and plugged in to the compent sockets......picture works but is that ok or am i missing something by not using the "special" 3 ended lead.....leads a lead isnt it?
ps- not fussed about the "quality" of the lead in the sense it should be gold plated or anything....just wondered if the 3 ended leads are "speacial" ?

component is usually 3 leads... red (audio Right) White (audio left) and component video (yellow)
any standard phono lead will suffice.. for each connection..
rgb again the leads one for each of the RGB colours, are usuall phono,s any decent phono to phono will suffice..

Composite (one lead for the video) will yield the worst possible picture. If your tv is tiny then maybe that's ok.... I would say that you require at least a fully wired RGB scart lead, or for a better picture, you should use the component which you seem to mention. Component will require 3 leads for the video alone, and a further 2 for stereo sound.
