Question

Anyone installed WebTrends?

Just wondering how it works..I gather it reads the log file from the server, it says in the manual that you can install it on any pc aslong as it can see the file.

As per usual our web server is on a DMZ, how does it communicate with the internal network to see the log file? does it ftp it or something?

I'm not having shares going through the firewall

Oh and i've rung Webtrends tech help, they don't know!
They are going to try and find out and call me back

Yeah thats how we did it - set up a cron job on the server and send the logs back once a day/week....
