Amazon.com........cheap or not cheap?
Just wondered what everyone thinks. The assumption is that everything on the internet is cheaper due to lower overheads and running costs so whats the point in comparing prices....or do some online retailers take advantage of this?
Opinions please.

Try Amazon Jersey and Amazon Canada too - good exchange rates!
I buy from the MarketPlace Sellers on Amazon - they often undercut Amazon by significant amounts. Bought a box set of 8 CDs recently. Amazon UK £50, from the MarketPlace seller £15 (shipped from USA). This was a set that was Manufactured in UK, shipped to USA and then back to UK for me - how can it be over 200% cheaper after being flown around the globe????

I always use price comparison sites before any major purchase - it seems that no one retailer is always cheapest for everything (which makes sense, I suppose).
For DVDs I use www.find-dvd.co.uk - other items I search sites like Kelkoo or Dealtime first. Saved a packet on a washing machine a few weeks ago that way
