Best mobile phone contracts
I'm currently with O2 and have been for the last 3 - 4 years.
My tariff atm is 200 minutes and 100 txts which i pay £30 p/m at the moment it's around 15 a month as i have 1/2 price line rental.
Having a quick look through the paper and online it seems i can get alot more for my money these days.
Can anyone reccomend any good deals, or websites with deals on for me to have a look at? I quite fancy a PSP and it seems you can get deals that ship with a PSP, so a phone that comes with a PSP would be good
I'm hoping to find a deal and then go to O2 and tell them about the deal and if they can't match it i'll bugger off elsewhere.
Any help appreciated
Cheers

I just bought a Sony Ericsson K810i on Orange from www.mobiles.co.uk
It's on "Raccoon" tariff which is 360 anytime anynet minutes, 120 landline minutes, 500 tests, free calls (almost) to 1 designated Orange number. Line rental is £35 a month but their "free gift" is half price line rental for 18 months, so it's effectively £17.50 a month. The half price line rental is by rebate every 6 months though, which is a bit irritating. Not a bad deal though I thought.

Got my N70 and Wifey's D600 on Voda for £16 per month (ported from O2) - phone for free.
Anytime 75 - 75 mins of "free calls" + 100 texts..... sounds cr@p until you add in the "stop the clock feature"
For all off-peak calls (inc mobile /x-network) you pay for the 1st 3 mins (from your allocated 75) and the next 57 mis are free
If you run over, you just pay for the minutes out of your allocation. This equates to 1500 minutes of off-peak calls
Both wifey and I are on it and have cut our bills by 75%
Although others may argue, so far, I have found Voda's customer service to be AMAZING. thumbs up from me.
The only potential negative is that the contract is for 18 months - although at this price, I can't really complain too much

I've just gone onto contract for the first time, with T mobile.
I have their Flext 25 package, which for £25 per month gives you £60 worth of credit to spend how you wish. Great idea. Also got the excellent Samsung D600 free with it!!
Didn't like the idea of the 18 month contract though so I popped into carphone warehouse who sell an insurance policy that enables you to opt out of the contract after 6 months. Of course, this makes the deal, in terms of value for money, less appealing. But, it means that should you lose or break your fancy phone, you don't have to pay £200+ for another. Similarly, if the deal no longer seems competitive, or you want to revert to pay and go, you're not stuck with it for the full 18 months.
So far so good!

After getting a couple of whopping bills in, I rang o2 to cancel my contract and was offered their o2 discount 750 package, which includes 750 minutes anytime, any network, and 100 texts for £22 per month. I opted to add on an extra 200 text messages to this for another £5ish a month.
So far I've been happy with this - but when I go over the 750 minutes my calls are charged at a flat rate of 21p + vat per minute. I had a busy month with work last month so went over my 750 minutes by quite a bit and ended up with another massive bill. I've now set up an alert with o2 whereby they send me a text when I reach a certain spend level over my bundled calls, and I'll be switching to another sim once this happens.
At the moment I'm quite happy with this setup, and as I've been with o2 for years I get offered good phones on renewal.

I've just found a deal with orange, LG chocolate on orange with 200 mins +50 mminutes off peak to other orange users, 575 texts and a PSP gigapack for £30 a month.
This seems pretty good, i tend not to use my curent 200 minutes with O2 up.
Can i phone to request a PAC code from O2 before i purchase the new contract?
