Lloyds TSB: anyone else had this?

Lloyds TSB: anyone else had this?
Both my eldest son and I have credit cards from the above.
About a year ago, I went through a phase of not receiving statement on time, or at all, then gettinga letter telling me I'd been chareged 320 for late payemnt. Each time, i complained, they refunded the £20, but pressured me to set up a DD, which I eventually did.
Now, my eldest is getting EXACTLY the same. Has it happened to anyone else?
None of my other statements, nor his bank statement, nor any of my wife's, EVER go missing, or arrive late.
It occurs to me that we are being scammed into entering into a DD scenario, as it saves the company money on processing cheques, and virtually ensures that only the minimum amount is paid off each month. I know you get the chance to pay more, but I imagine that most folk, like me, won't.
Are we being scammed, or am I too far gone with my conspiracy theory?

Do they do online statements?
I think Iam about to change over to them, I currently have an accucard which is ceasing at the end of the month so lloyds tsb are switching me to another card (pressumably their own). Hope they dont force me to go dd otherwise it will be cancelled I think.

Useless bastar*s to be honest. They seem to love charging for nothing, i had nearly £1000 of charges last year for an account i didnt use. Took me 3 months to sort it out with them. Turned out to be the usual admin error

Lloyds tsb statements are online under my normal bank account, I have been late with several credit card companys (probably about a dozen times) mainly capital one and lloyds and they have always refunded any interest or late charges
